Rained Out!
So, I just got back from my church campout this weekend. It was at Buttle Lake, which is south west of Campbell River.Craziness. It rained practically the whole time. The first day we expected hot temperatures (actually we expected it all weekend), but when we got there (friday) it was kinda chilly and cloudy.
"Ok", we thought, "it will warm up tomorrow". We didn't think
Sunday comes and we were pretty much rained out the whole day. When we went to bed though, it cleared and we saw the stars. Monday comes and guess what! Sunshine and beautiful warm weather. We had to be out of the site by 11am. There was no time to enjoy it.
Over all, though, the campout itself was fun. There was plenty of time for fellowship (having been stuck in close courters all weekend) through card games, and singing, and talking. I finally got to sleep in after having "worked" three weeks straight (this includes a mission trip).

We had a ladies' crazy bath time, although it might be more appropriately deemed "crazy ladies' bath time". We went in to the lake, freezing cold, to wash our hair and such. There were four of us, and it was too cold, but it felt so good afterwards. Who needs running water? Ok, maybe I do, but it worked in the meantime.
So, like I said, despite the rain it was fun. Great times with great people. That's always the best time (and it doesn't hurt to throw in a little swimmer's itch either.....*scratch, scratch*).
